Myself personally, I hold many different beliefs and religion is a personal thing but among other things I believe you can be spiritual without being religious.
But I like the old saying think of religion like a salad bar you step up to the bar get your plate and then pick and choose what you want from the bar until you get the perfect salad.
My salad consists of an atheistic humanistic UU Norse Wiccan Pagan with an Asatru leaning and a splash LaVeyan Satanism 🤔 yea that's all kinds of contradictions but like I said it's your plate fix it how your want.
The Norse Pantheon is what appeals to me the most and I love the mythology and the creation story and the sagas of the lore.
But in the end I hold a more scientific and rational / reasonable view of religion and spirituality which is more in line with a nature based / humanist / atheistic view... We are just energy in the vast universe and everything around us and everything before us and everything after us will be just that as well just energy.
And energy never dies it doesn't just go away so when we die as with all living beings our energies will return to the source and there is just one source you can call it whatever you want but it's where everything came from and that's where we will return only to be redistributed once again.
It doesn't matter what you believe or who you do or don't pray to religion is a tool for mankind to help cope with everyday life. It gives hope and faith and will to live. In the past it was used as a political tool and a tool to control the masses and in some cases it still is.
Religion is the number one reason people have gone to war and have killed and have been murdered over. So the sooner you realize that religion is merely a tool and focus more on spirituality, your life and your beliefs will take a better shape and be able to guide you better in life.
My Take on the Afterlife

Satanism gets a bad wrap but it does have a lot of good values and a lot of the teachings and writings from LaVey are quite logical and reasonable. of course it wasn't always good but LaVey brought it together and organized it for the benefit of all.
Do you really think Rule #9 is evil are you against that rule? No? then you agree that these aren't all bad rules to live by.
I challenge you to disagree with any of the above-listed Rules. I'll be waiting for your comments.
In 1969 LaVey came up with the 9 Satanic Statements they too are logical, rational, and reasonable concepts.
Can you disagree with any of the following?
LaVey believed in believing in yourself and doing for yourself and helping those that deserved help.
Tell me what is wrong with that?
So before you demonize a legitimate religion educate yourself on the facts and history.

In God We Trust?

I don't normally post religious or political topics/opinions publicly (on Facebook that's where this originated) because of the inherent nature of the discussion they tend to bring these are deeply personal and private matters to each different person.
When you share them publicly you open yourself up to criticism and hate and even some like minded people will give some good conversation and even more so some non like minded people will give a good civil debate.
So when I do post sometimes on these often times controversy topics that is what I'm looking for a Good Conversation/Debate you can save you hate and negative criticism for someone who cares because you are just wasting your time and yelling into the void.
Now... to the topic at hand
A lot of you are confused... we were not founded on "christian principles" Christianity is NOT the official religion of the United States.
The United States has NO official Religion just like it has no official language.
Why?
Because we are a very diverse nation we have many languages and we have many religions making one official over the other would only make one feel lesser than the other.
One is NOT lesser than the other it doesn't matter what your belief is! It doesn't matter if you don't believe at all.
Yes, Christianity is the most popular and the biggest religion in the world that doesn't make it the best and that doesn't make it the DE facto official religion. even though that's what everyone likes to believe.
Having Christian slogans on our #money and in our #government and in our schools and in every part of our #society is great for those that practice the #Christian #Religion but what about the people that don't?
Why does the #Satanist have to look at "In God We Trust" everywhere he/she turns" Why Does the #Pagan have to work on the most holy day of the year for Him/Her but Christians get the day off for theirs?
Why does the Non-Believer have to have religion shoved down their throat at every possible turn?
This is the problem in our society! You all say We need more GOD!
Well Where was YOUR GOD when YOUR PRIEST was raping little boys!
Where was YOUR GOD when #Hitler was Killing 6 Million Jews!
Where was YOUR GOD when a little boy was Killed on his way home from school?
Where was YOUR GOD when that Kid walked into the school and shot up a bunch of kindergarten kids or the hundreds of other #massshootings or other horrific things that happen in the world!
WHERE IS YOUR GOD!!
I Think You Need MORE THAN #GOD You Need #ACTION LIVE HUMAN ON #EARTH ACTION Stop waiting for some Supernatural being to come down from the sky and do something AND DO IT YOURSELF!
Stop Blaming Your #Apathy on Your Mythical #Deity

It's bad enough Our #President, Our #Governor and other elected officials cherry pick and publicly wish greetings for specific holidays but ignore others like they don't matter which makes those people feel left out and like they don't matter which is sad!
Which is WHY you don't WANT RELIGION AND STATE MIXED! this way you don't have these issues you don't have to cherry pick which religion to publicly wish greetings on and you don't have to spend 15 hours wishing 1500 religions holidays specific greetings!
But No you think it's just easier to just focus on the Abrahamic religions and screw the rest.
We Were Founded on the principle of Freedom OF Religion AND Freedom FROM Religion!
But somewhere along the line we forgot that!
I've ranted and Raved long enough this post kinda took on a mind of it's own it was just gonna be a simple short post stating my brief opinion on the matter but as with these topics they get heated quickly and I get very passionate about this issue. So if my opinion offends you #SorryNotSorry I'm always quite outspoken and yes it gets me in trouble from time to time but sometimes you just gotta let it out and speak your truth.
Let me leave you with this.
The #HolyBible says that a woman can be sold to her #rapist after he violates her.
The #Quran says that a #Woman must be always sexually submissive to men.
The #SatanicBible says to not make #sexual advances unless they are #reciprocated.
You Don't Need GOD! Y'all Need MF'n #SATAN!

What Do You Know About Satanism?

I've always been fascinated by the various different world religions personally I'm a Norse Wiccan UU Humanist Pagan with an Asatru Leaning ( I know I have to be complex ).
But I could also include Modern Satanist specifically LaVeyan Satanism. this official religion was founded in 1966 by the American occultist and author Anton Szandor LaVey.
Satanism gets a bad wrap but it does have a lot of good values and a lot of the teachings and writings from LaVey are quite logical and reasonable. of course it wasn't always good but LaVey brought it together and organized it for the benefit of all.
There is always someone going to balk about it and claim it's evil and no good and "you'll go to hell" if you practice such things. Hollywood doesn't help matters much nor does the Christian Church.
That's to be expected though. I'm not saying there ain't bad satanist out there or that bad things didn't happen in the past but what religion doesn't have some bad apples? True Satanism is different today.
For instance, Tell me what part of the following doesn't make sense...

In God We Trust?
