BTW...

I wrote a novel.

Crossing that 50k word threshold was like a wave of joy that washed over me.

I started out with a goal of 1700 words per day to finish in 30 days (inspiration from Gretchen Rubin - Author of The Happiness Project) a few days got missed here and there but I did complete the goal in 23 non-consecutive days which is far sooner than I had hoped to finish because I would get into the zone and go above the writing goal so I just finished faster.

I'm far from done though. This is just the mere first draft, now it'll go to an editor where it will be torn apart, marked up, proofread and sent back for the second draft which will include any needed rewrites of sections or additions to clarify plot lines or add to the story arc etc. which will happen during #NanoWriMo this year.

I've always been fascinated with the idea and concept of NanoWriMo and I've wanted to participate for so long but never really had the drive or the idea or pretty much the know how to even write a novel. I'm sure people are going be shocked and surprised to hear this news I mean I'm shocked and surprised myself!

But over the years i've been involved in several writing communities and making blog posts on #Medium and really trying to hone my writing abilities and with all I've learned and even taught to others hearing Gretchen's book was just like the lightbulb that went off in my head it's like I can actually do this now!

While I was in the should I shouldn't I stage I told myself I wasn't gonna just automatically say "Hey Y'all I'm writing a Novel!" because y'all would of been like yeah right whatever!

Then failing at the task and hearing everyone say I knew it just another failed thing.

No. I said I'm not saying nothing until I can say I WROTE A NOVEL!

It will be published as well self published but still it will be published!

This is a achievement that not everyone can pull off and if I only do it once you know what they say. Authors live forever.
